LIFEGUARD GFCIs:
The best choice for the entertainment industry

Modern production equipment depends on electricity, which inherently adds the potential danger of electric shock whenever personnel come in close contact with these electrical devices, especially in or around water. The main reason for the potential hazard is a ground fault or the presence of ground leakage current. This condition exists when current flows unintentionally between an active conductor and ground. The danger becomes apparent when a person either touches an active conductor or comes in contact with voltage carrying exposed conductive parts or liquids due to an internal ground fault. A ground fault can result in:
- Electric shock -
- Death of personnel or animals -
- Equipment damage -
- Fire -
- Production downtime -
- Litigation -

BENDER is the recognized world wide leader in the field of electrical safety. Since 1946 BENDER has helped shape the world of electrical safety by supplying state of the art technology for personnel and equipment protection in electrical power systems. BENDER engineers designed the LIFEGUARD GFCI with the latest technology and under consideration of all the requirements of modern electrical production devices and regulations.

BENDER LIFEGUARD GFCI products are manufactured in accordance with UL943, the North American standard for personnel protection; employing advanced filtering characteristics; as well as the standard specific time/current trip curves.
The LIFEGUARD series of GFCIs extends the capability of standard ground fault circuit interruptors to the detection of ground leakage currents in all stages of power conversion and distribution equipment from simple rectifiers to sophisticated variable frequency drives and brushless DC motor controllers extending from pure DC into the low kHz range.
Users of BENDER LIFEGUARD GFCI products experience:
- Less nuisance tripping -
- Compatibility with more equipment -
- Higher accuracy -
- Less Risk -

The LIFEGUARD GFCI can be used in virtually any system, and is widely used in:
- Tungsten, HMI, Kinos, LEDs -
- Lightning simulators -
- Dimmers, line or load side -
- Water pumps, scrims, fountains -
- Ritter fans, cranes -
- Variable frequency drives -
